Professor Tobias Kollmann

Director

Prof. Kollmann completed his MD and PhD at the Albert of Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx NY, followed by a residency in pediatrics and fellowship in infectious diseases as the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. He then served at Division Head for Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of British Columbia, BC Children’s Hospital.

His expertise centres around newborn infectious diseases, immune ontogeny and early life vaccine responses employing cutting edge technology and analytics to extract the most information out of the typically small biological samples obtainable in early life. Prof. Kollmann has decades of experience in directing large, multi-site systems biology studies.

Dr Rym Ben Othman

Program Manager

Dr Rym Ben Othman completed her PhD in molecular and cellular biology at the Institute Pasteur in Tunisia. After a post doc at the University of Maryland on parasite interference with host metabolic pathways, she joined BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute to work on vaccination and neonatal infections.

Her passion is in implementing multi-site, multi-omics studies, standardizing processes, managing projects and working with research teams to deliver the optimal, custom-tailored approach that fits the specific projects.

 

Dr Rad Aniba

Data Architect

Dr. Rad Aniba completed his PhD at the University of Strasbourg in France. He is an experienced data professional specialized in building data-driven products. With more than ten years of experience in the healthcare industry, Rad is an expert in setting up large scale systems for data processing and analysis optimizing workflows and processes.

Dr Aniba's expertise ranges from Data Strategy to Governance, Policies and Frameworks to implement data transformational solutions, business intelligence and visualization systems.
